Phrasal verbs with “stand”:
  •  Stand by (1): 候命 

例子:The pilot was instructed to stand by for take-off.

例子:I can’t stand by and see you ruin your life.

 

  •  Stand in: 代替 

例子:We need someone to stand in for you when you are on leave.

 

  •  St and out: 顯眼, 突出
