(phrasal verb 片語動詞)

e.g. Spitting is frowned upon in many countries. 很多國家都不許吐痰。



- frown (verb 動詞)

e.g. She frowned at me, clearly annoyed. 她皺著眉頭看著我，顯然生氣了


date 約會對象 / 約會
(noun 名詞)

e.g. He asked her out on a date. 他把她約了出去。
e.g. Who's your date for the prom? 你約了誰去參加舞會？

- date （與…）拍拖 (verb 動詞) 
e.g. They dated for five years before they got married. 他們談了5年戀愛才結婚。


courtship 追求
(noun 名詞) OLD FASHIONED

e.g. They had a passionate courtship and a long, loving marriage.
